Huddersfield Town vs. Manchester City
Location: Etihad Stadium, Manchester
City looks like big enough favorites that perhaps Huddersfield should ask traveling fans to help bring something to barricade the goal. The goals are skewed exceptionally in City’s favor with most consensus being greater than 4 goals.
Manchester City was firing on all cylinders last week, and this week we got unfortunate news that Kevin De Bruyne was injured in training. Normally for teams, if a player of his caliber goes down it should be a huge boon for the opposition, except for this City side. They will just bring in the next man, and it will be another demolition.
Our pre-season projections show that we aren’t particularly optimistic about this side. And so far their performances haven’t given us any reason to change our mind. I think this is going to be a long game for Huddersfield and probably won’t have many high points for them. Huddersfield fans should look forward to a different game, and watch this one expecting the worst.
Bold Predictions (tally will be kept on players identified and teams at the bottom of this running series):

  • Winner: Manchester City
  • Final Score: 5-0
  • Goalscorer(s):
    • Manchester City: Gundogan, B. Silva, Aguero, Sane, Mahrez
