EFL Championship – Week 17 Slate

Championship Week 17 Fixtures/Results

We saw a lot of movement in our Power Rankings after a Week 16 that saw a lot of upsets. This week appears to be no different, with a lot of matches between clubs that are within a few spots of each other. But it’s also another week where top clubs Norwich City and Leeds United should remain at the top of the league table, with a potential expansion of their current lead due to many other top ten clubs facing off this week.

Per usual, the number in parenthesis before each club is where they fell on our Week 17 Power Rankings. Home clubs are listed first. We’ll keep this updated throughout the weekend, with winning indicated in bold, while matches that end in draws will have their clubs italicized.

Championship Week 16 Fixtures/Results

The results from last week, when each club played twice, didn’t have the impact on the Power Rankings I was expecting, but it was still an exciting week nonetheless. This week doesn’t appear to be much different, with about half of the matches being hosted by a lower-ranked club this week. With the Championship being deemed the best league in England, nearly any team can find success week to week (sorry Ipswich Town supporters).

Per usual, the number in parenthesis before each club is where they fell on our Week 16 Power Rankings. Home clubs are listed first. We’ll keep this updated throughout the weekend, with winning indicated in bold, while matches that end in draws will have their clubs italicized.

(UPDATED) Premier League – Week 15 Slate

As mentioned in our weekly Premier League Power Rankings, the league this week will be playing twice, with matches kicking off later tonight. Furthermore, the clubs that are still alive in various tournaments will be playing multiple times over the next three weeks. For example, league leader Manchester City plays twice this week, a Champions League match on 12 December, another league match on 15 December, and an EFL Cup match on 18 December. Fitness will be important for all the clubs as they approach the midway point of the season, and this could be a window where the top clubs continue to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

As always, the number in parenthesis before each club reflects their spot on our Power Rankings, and we’ll try to keep this list updated as the week progresses. Home teams are listed first, and winners will be indicated in bold. In the event of a draw, both teams will be placed in italics.

(UPDATED) Premier League – Week 14 Slate

Another week of Premier League action is in the books, and we have another full slate starting tonight. With six clubs playing in European competitions this week – and in advance of a week where the clubs will play twice – some clubs will be playing four matches over 14 days. Will this impact performance this weekend, or will we see the tired legs at the end of next weekend?

As always, the number in parenthesis before each club reflects their spot on our weekly Power Rankings, and we’ll try to keep this list updated as the weekend progresses. Home teams are listed first, and winners will be indicated in bold. In the event of a draw, both teams will be placed in italics.

Championship Week 15 Fixtures/Results

After shaking off the international break cobwebs this past weekend, the clubs of the Championship will each be playing twice this week. Upon completion of the final match Monday night, all clubs will have played 20 matches on the season, and will reach the half way point the week before Christmas.

Per usual, the number in parenthesis before each club is where they fell on our Week 15 Power Rankings. In the past, when we have had two league matches in a week, we end up seeing a lot of movement in subsequent rankings, and this week’s slate features a lot of matches that could shake up the rankings (and league standings). We’ll profile a few of those matches during the week, and we’ll try to keep this page updated as results roll in, so feel free to check back in throughout the week.

Home clubs are listed first. Winning clubs will be indicated in bold, while matches that end in draws will have their clubs italicized.

(UPDATED) Premier League – Week 13 Slate

This will be another week where the top clubs in the league should expand their leads over those towards the bottom of the table. As always, the number in parenthesis before each club reflects their spot on our weekly Power Rankings, and we’ll try to keep this list updated as the weekend progresses.  Home teams are listed first, and winners will be indicated in bold.
