AAF Stat Leaders
We are two weeks into the inaugural Alliance of American Football season, and there has been some separation in some of the statistical categories after an amazing week of football. We have three teams at 2-0, and one of those teams had both the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
Let’s take a look at the individual categories:
After throwing for nearly 400 yards in a come-from-behind victory over the San Antonio Commanders, Garrett Gilbert of the Orlando Apollos was named AAF Offensive Player of the Week. He is also leading the league in most passing categories, with only John Wolford‘s six touchdown passes eclipsing his four. Also, aside from those two plays, the quarterback play has been less than stellar up and down the league, but that should continue to improve as the season goes on.
